Short, in plain English.

What this site is

This site describes the work of autohmate, James O’Hara’s applied AI consulting practice, and offers a chat demo James built on /talk so you can see how I think. Consulting work happens by separate written agreement; nothing on this site by itself creates one.

The chat demo

The chat demo on /talk is a demonstration. Its replies are illustrative, not advice. Using it doesn’t create a client relationship or any duty of care. Don’t make a real business decision based solely on something the demo says — that’s what an actual conversation with me is for.

The money-back promise

Some pages on this site say that if a build doesn’t stick, you don’t pay. That promise applies when the build fails the success test agreed in writing before the build started, provided the agreed access was given and the build got a reasonable run in real use. It doesn’t cover scope changed after agreement, access withheld, or a build that was never put to use. Refund decisions reference the written test, not general satisfaction. The specifics for any engagement live in its written agreement.

Information accuracy

I try to keep claims and figures accurate, and I update the site as my work and views evolve. That said, the site is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and I make no guarantees about availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, I’m not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of this site or the chat demo. If a court decides any liability does apply, it’s limited to USD $100.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes that can’t be resolved informally will be handled there.
